When the planner becomes the bride

When I decided to arrange my own wedding quite a few people believed that I had imagined and planned everything a long time ago. However, that was not the case at all. I inspired the topic for my wedding while I was browsing through a travel magazine. Using the Moroccan tile as the basic element, I started designing the invitations and that is how everything began.

My preference in blue colour in combination with modern and traditional details led to a simple and impressive result including boho chic elements ideal for a city wedding.

The ceremony

The ceremony took place at my favourite chapel of Saint Paraskevi on the outskirts of Thessaloniki, a picturesque place in nature, with the presence of my beloved family and friends.

The wedding gown, chosen from the Pronovia’s collection, was a simple and beautiful boho wedding dress with a gorgeous long and flowing skirt. Apart from the dress, the wonderful long bridal veil, fringed with lace, made my appearance even better.

The hairstyle and make up were taken care of by Katsarka Electra, and the outcome was more than impressive. We preferred nothing extraordinary letting the beautiful characteristics of my face shine. My look was completed with the fantastic Cesare Paccioti’s nude shoes.

The reception

The blue and white hydrangeas and the white orchids were basic elements of the decoration, not only at the church, but at the reception as well, giving an essence of beauty.

My husband and I wanted the wedding reception to feel like a party, and the ideal place for that was, undoubtedly, the stylish Sky Bar on the 7th floor of the Met Hotel. The stunning panoramic view of the whole city combined with the refined and, at the same time, warm and friendly atmosphere of the hotel contributed to our choice. The party continued well into the early hours as we were enjoying the brilliant service, the wonderful cocktails offered, and the musical selections leading to unstoppable dance.

My wedding day truly delighted me from start to finish. Having no regrets about my choices, my advice to all the brides-to-be is to enjoy their wedding day, feel unique, and banish any feelings of worry or anxiety from their head. What is important is to make their wedding an unforgettable experience and that’s exactly the role of Levanda!!!
